Intuition first — the painting decides where it wants to go

Sonal is a lifelong painter whose work is inspired by nature, intuition, and the emotions that come with everyday experiences. Working mainly in acrylic, she creates abstract and loosely impressionistic paintings, often drawing inspiration from the colours, textures, shapes, and changing moods of the natural world around her.

She enjoys letting the painting develop as she works, rather than deciding exactly how it will look from the beginning. She follows her instinct, experimenting with colour, texture, and movement until the piece feels right. This freedom and curiosity have led to a collection of works that are varied, expressive, and personal.

For many years, painting was a private space for Sonal to reflect, experiment, and simply enjoy the process of creating. She is now sharing her work publicly for the first time and hopes that viewers will find their own connection with each piece — perhaps through a memory, a feeling, or simply a moment of beauty.
